Marv Wolfman to write Superboy while Tony Bedard takes over Supergirl

This December, some creative changes will be coming to the Superman family of books, specifically Superboy and Supergirl...

With the twenty-sixth issues of both series, each will be getting a new writer for at least one arc. Superboy's getting taken over by comic book legend, Marv Wolfman meanwhile Supergirl's new writer will be Tony Bedard.

Marv Wolfman is the co-creator of characters like Starfire, Cyborg, Deathstroke, Trigon, Raven, Tim Drake and many more, and has been the artist of fan-favourite series, The New Teen Titans and Crisis on Infinite Earths. I'm looking at this like a Christmas present to the Teen Titans fans, because having a creator who's been a major part of the Titans' history take on writing duties for the solo series of a member of the team's newest generation is going to be brilliant.

Then there's Supergirl, whose series is getting taken over by writer Tony Bedard, whose recent projects have included Blue Beetle and Green Lantern: New Guardians, and as the cover for Bedard's first issue, issue twenty-six, the first arc by the new writer will feature the much-talked about new look for Lobo.

Both writers start work on their new series this December.

Here are the solicits for the September issues of Teen Titans from DC Comics, September is villains month for DC so every title in the New 52 is being taken over by one of it's villains, for most titles more than once, there being two issues of Teen Titans that month.

I have to say, I was expecting Teen Titans to take a  month off for September considering the huge amount of multiple issue books DC are putting out for that month, but I'm glad it's not if Marv Wolfman, writer of New Teen Titans and creator of Trigon, is writing it. I haven't been enjoying Lobdell's titans of late so this should be a good issue!

Full Cinematic trailer released for Batman: Arkham Origins

Today the full cinematic trailer for the new Batman game, Batman: Arkham Origins, was released to the internet. The almost five-minute long trailer is completely made up of Cinematic footage with no gameplay, Personally, I love this trailer and the footage it shows but it would be good to see some gameplay soon, since, let's be honest, the game won't all look like this.

Anyway, enough talk, here's the trailer!

Pretty cool, right? The characters we see in the trailer are ( in order ) Black Mask's henchmen, Batman, Deathstroke, Deadshot (I'm pretty sure) and Black Mask.

This is the first Arkham game not made by Rocksteady studios and their role is replaced by WB Games Montreal, who have done a pretty good job on the cinematics. It's also the first game in the series that allows you to roam the streets of Gotham city, whereas the previous game were set within Arkham  facilities.

It's been said that Kevin Conroy is returning for the game, even though previously he'd claimed he wasn't involved, but Batman doesn't speak in the whole trailer, so I'm not completely sure.

Batman: Arkham Origins is released on the 25th of October this year and if you pre-order now from Amazon you get a playable Deathstroke DLC for every console the game is playable on (except the WiiU) with unique weapons and challenge maps and two costumes for the character.
